Coach Tony Bennett (Head Coach at University of Virginia, 2X National Coach of the Year) wrote a brief paragraph about Coach Daven Harmeling, here is what he said.
“I had the privilege to coach Daven during his career at Washington State University. He was not only a very good player, but also a tremendous person of character. He was a student of the game and displayed strong leadership abilities. His experience and success as a D1 basketball player gives him instant credibility with the young men he coaches. Most importantly, Daven cares about his players and wants them to succeed on the court, in the classroom, and ultimately in life. The best compliment I can give him, or any other coach, is that I would want my son to play for him.”
