Your giving advances our mission of providing excellent Christian education to students in our community. Giving advances our plans for the future and impacts students on a daily basis. It is only through the generosity that we accomplish this important mission.
The Way Forward
The Way Forward is the King’s Way plan to fulfill our mission in our growing community for the next 50 years. The plan involves building infrastructure for the future, while delivering Christ-centered student experiences on a daily basis. These strategic priorities will provide greater access to Christian education to local families; increase excellence in our academic, athletics, and arts spaces and opportunities, and maintain our core mission of pointing students to Christ through the integration of biblical values in all aspects of their education.
Student Impact
Giving impacts students’ day-to-day experiences directly in these four areas:
Athletic Excellence
Supports our athletics program costs such as coaches’ stipends, team equipment, facility rentals, and training.
Fine & Performing Arts Excellence
Funds fine and performing arts program costs, including equipment and transportation costs for choir, band, drama, and dance programs.
Campus Safety and Security
Enhances our campus safety and security infrastructure, including internal/external cameras, ALICE training, secure door access hardware and software, personnel, and additional Safety & Security Advisory Committee recommendations.
Financial Aid Opportunity
Supports families with qualifying financial need to pay tuition. More than 150 K-12 students per year receive this financial support (known as Financial Aid), representing nearly 20% of K-12 enrollment.

Employer Gift Matching
Many people work with organizations or businesses that match employee charitable gifts – in part, in full, or even double the original gift! This is a wonderful way to enhance the impact of your donation to King’s Way.
To determine if your employer offers a matching program, use the Double the Donation tool below to search from a database of more than 24,000 employers. If your employer is in the database, you can link to your employer’s HR platform for making your donation to King’s Way match-eligible!
QCD
Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs)
King’s Way is a “Qualified Charity” under the IRS Code and is able to accept Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs). Using this strategy you can donate up to $100,000 per year to King’s Way and/or other qualified charities and avoid taxes on otherwise taxable distributions from your IRA.
If you are over the age of 70.5 years old, you can give money directly from your IRA account to King’s Way and the proceeds are not subject to federal income, as the amount is simply excluded from your taxable income.
RMD
Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs)
Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs) are minimum amounts that IRA and retirement plan account owners generally must withdraw annually starting with the year they reach age 72 (73 if you reach age 72 after Dec. 31, 2022).
If you are subject to Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs), the QCD counts toward meeting that requirement.
- QCDs are potentially beneficial to the donor for the following reasons:
- Donors who are subject to RMDs that don’t have another use for the funds can give the money to charity and not pay income taxes on the money. Normally the RMD is counted as income and the donor must pay taxes on that money each year.
Donors who give money to charity but are still subject to the standard deduction do not get a tax benefit from donating to charity. If they are in that situation but use a QCD strategy, they now get the tax benefits of donating to charity because this amount comes out of their IRA completely tax free when it would otherwise be taxed.
