Students looking to get a head start on their advanced education can choose to be hybrid enrolled at BOTH King’s Way and Clark College for Running Start or Cascadia Tech Academy for a career specific program. This hybrid enrollment allows students to maintain regular school activities (such as playing sports and participating in extracurricular and community activities), while taking advantage of the opportunity to pursue their post high school goals. Students interested in this pathway will work with the academic counseling team to apply for approval to either of these programs.
Running Start at Clark College
This is a state funded program where students can take college classes in a true college environment either online or on campus at Clark College for a very reduced cost. These classes can be used to meet their high school degree requirements, but can also be transferred toward a college degree from a 4 year institution. In some cases, a high school student can earn an Associates degree by the time they graduate from high school.
Cascadia Tech Academy
This program is run through the public school system to prepare students for a particular trade or career. Students can apply for a spot in these programs, earning high school credit, some college credits, and even industry recognized credentials and licensure.
