Student Scholarship Opportunities 2026-2027

KWCS is thrilled to announce the following scholarship opportunities for incoming 9th-12th grade students for the 2026-2027 school year. Awards recognize academic excellence, creativity, engagement, and perseverance.

Current Scholarships

Application Deadline June 15, 2026

Leadership and Service Scholarship - $750

Purpose: The Mitchell family believes in preparing our young people for making a positive impact at King’s Way and in the community through leadership and service. Their hope is to support and inspire young people to develop character consistent with biblical values and lead our community well for their generation.

Eligibility

Be enrolled at KWCS in grades 9th-12th for the 2026-2027 school year.
Have completed a minimum of 15 hours of leadership and community service in the past year. Service should demonstrate consistent involvement and meaningful contribution to the community.
Provide two recommendations - one from a King's Way staff member and one from a community member (church, non-profit, community member, etc.) who are familiar with your character, leadership or activities that positively impact others.
Be in good academic standing and actively pursuing academic improvement.

Build What Matters - $750

Purpose: To recognize that meaningful learning often happens through doing. By supporting students who work with their hands and bring ideas to reality, it will help elevate making, craftsmanship, experimentation, and applied creativity as valuable educational pathways.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must:
Be enrolled at KWCS in grades 9th-12th for the 2026-2027 school year
Provide a recommendation from an individual who is familiar with your aptitude, character, and hands-on problem-solving or design. If applicable, you can also submit an optional photo of a project (school, personal, etc.) that reflects your problem-solving abilities, creativity, or hands-on work.
Be in good academic standing.
Have an interest in hands-on creating or troubleshooting. Some examples include but are not limited to fabrication or repair projects, mechanical restoration, engineering builds, industrial design or creative installations, etc.

Don Cheney STEM Scholarship – $750

Blueprint to the Future Scholarship – $500

Purpose: Made possible through a generous donation from the Nutter Foundation to spark interest in the next generation of tradespeople and celebrate skilled craftsmanship.

Eligibility:

Incoming high school student for the 2026–2027 school year
Should be in good academic standing
Demonstrated interest in a trade career and enjoys problem-solving
Plans to pursue an associate degree, certification, or skills training

Healthcare Scholarship – $500

Purpose: Encourage future generations to pursue the healthcare industry.

Eligibility:

Incoming high school student for the 2026–2027 school year
Should be in good academic standing
Demonstrated passion for healthcare (i.e., medicine, biomedical engineering, health technology) and has a desire to make a positive impact on their community
Plans to pursue a healthcare career at the college level or an accredited health occupations training program

Entrepreneurship Scholarship – $500

Purpose: Support creative thinkers who aspire to make a positive impact through
business ventures, startups, or community-based economic initiatives.

Eligibility:

Incoming high school student for the 2026–2027 school year
Should be in good academic standing
Demonstrated interest in business, entrepreneurship, or innovation, such as developing new ideas, managing projects, or exploring leadership opportunities
Plans to pursue business, entrepreneurship, or economics at the college level or through an accredited training or mentorship program

Students may apply for multiple scholarships, but only one scholarship will be awarded per school year.
