The mission of the King’s Way Christian Schools Health Services Department is to partner with parents in the spiritual, emotional, and physical health, as well as the academic success of each student.

The mission of the King’s Way Christian Schools Health Services Department is to partner with parents in the spiritual, emotional, and physical health, as well as the academic success of each student. The school nurse facilitates this by:

  • Providing leadership in the delivery of quality health care to the King’s Way Christian Schools Community.
  • Helping to promote health and safety in the school setting.
  • Intervening with actual and potential health problems during the school day.
  • Providing case management for students with health care needs.
  • Collaborating with parents, teachers, and school and church staff in identifying potential and actual health problems.
  • Appraising, promoting, and protecting the optimal health status of students and staff.
  • Teaching relevant health instruction and information to individual students, staff, and classrooms.
  • Acting as a liaison between the student, staff, families, and community health sources.
  • Utilizing a biblical world view to teach positive health concepts and attitudes and models healthful behaviors.
  • Providing, maintaining, and improving the spiritual health of students and their families.
