King’s Way Football is under new leadership! Dale Rule, most recently an assistant football coach for the Camas Papermakers, has agreed to guide Knight’s Football for the 2023 season. Dale’s experience, charisma, and deep conviction that football is a tool to grow students and point them to Jesus helped him stand out as an exceptional leader for the King’s Way community.

Dale has worked locally as a high school football coach for over 30 years. He started his career under the guidance of Chris Knudsen at Centennial High School in Gresham, OR. Dale worked alongside the legendary Oregon HS coach for 16 years before moving to Benson HS for a short two year stint. Then, Dale moved across the river so he could coach his three sons in the Camas Football program. During his time on the Papermaker sidelines he has helped guide the program to two WIAA 4A state titles. Dale is well versed in every aspect of coaching football. His roles have included offensive coordinator, defensive coordinator, associate head coach, JV head coach, and for the last several years he has been the freshman head coach for Camas HS. Dale’s faithful service to the game of football and the players in his care have prepared him to move into the head coach role, and he is excited to bring a winning culture to King’s Way Football.

Dale states that he believes in the P’s, “Develop the Person, develop the Player, develop the Program. The order never changes!” Dale’s enthusiasm for the game and for people is infectious. The future of Knights football is bright! Please help us welcome Dale Rule to the King’s Way community.
