“…praise him with timbrel and dancing,
praise him with the strings and pipe,
praise him with the clash of cymbals,
praise him with resounding cymbals.
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.
Praise the Lord.”
Psalm 150:4-6

Allene Goshey

As King’s Way High School Band Director, Mrs. Goshey oversees the high school instrumental programs, including Symphonic Band, Marching Band, and small ensembles.
Utilizing her Masters of Music Performance Degree from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, Allene has enjoyed being an in-demand principle clarinetist for many Bay Area symphonies with over 25 years of performance and private clarinet studio work.
In addition to her roles as Interim Clarinet Professor at San Jose State University and as music performance coach with both college and high school ensembles, she has extensive experience in performing with Symphony Orchestras, Chamber Orchestras, Opera, Wind Symphonies, Small Ensembles, and Marching Bands. Throughout her career, Allene’s students have enjoyed ongoing Honor Band successes at the national, state, and county levels.
Allene’s passion is in creating a music family for KW students where encouragement, persistence, and a love for each other go hand-in-hand with making music and improving musicianship. Her vision for the music program is to help her students develop a foundation of collaboration, high standards, discipline, and music enjoyment that will last a lifetime.
