Learning Center
ACADEMICS
King’s Way Learning Center provides a hands-on learning environment where children are encouraged to explore their world with all their senses and creatively express themselves throughout their daily activities.
Our focus is on the social emotional development of your child.
Home Away from home
A Safe Place to G-R-O-W!
Our Learning Center teachers take careful time and attention to create and develop age-appropriate curriculum that is specialized for each classroom. Activities are based around weekly themes and Bible stories in order to promote Biblical integration into all areas. Our music and movement teacher travels daily to classrooms and engages the students with melodies that are both fun and have underlying educational foundations. Art classes focus on the process of creating and not the output, with lots of praise and encouragement to build confidence. Social and emotional skills are improved through Christian concept development as students are modeled with how to love and care for one another. Every age group has learning objectives each month in science, math, large and fine motor, art, community, and literacy. Learning centers are set up in each room to provide opportunities for hands-on reinforcement of concepts and skills.
Children meet together weekly for Chapel in order to emphasize our weekly Bible story and concept. This also provides a time of togetherness and fellowship with other classes and ages.
