Dissection (Incoming 5th through 12th graders)
Students will use hands-on learning to explore the anatomy and physiology of living organisms. We will complete two dissections each day with follow up worksheets and fun quizzes. Multiple videos will be shown prior to each dissection to learn more about the organisms that we are dissecting. Students should wear closed-toed shoes. Long hair should be pulled back. A child should not take this camp if they are squeamish or cannot dissect on their own. There is a strong smell from the preserving liquids. Students should bring their own lunch or snack for a quick 30 minute break between dissections.

Magic Tricks (Incoming 3rd through 7th graders)
Magic Camp is designed for the beginning and experienced students alike. Students will begin by learning the magician’s oath and then move to the foundation of the magician’s craft: sleight of hand, redirection, and magic theory. Practicing magic tricks offers a number of benefits to its students, including the development of confidence and self-esteem, critical and creative thinking, hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, multitasking thoughts and actions, presentation skills, practice and perseverance, and so much more! Each day of camp will build on each other with students learning, developing, and perfecting the various elements of different tricks. Each magic kit contains mainstays of the magician’s repertoire, such as card tricks, the classic cups and balls, money magic, rope tricks, and more. These items have been carefully selected because each is highly versatile and can be used in a variety of multiphase routines. That is magician speak meaning that there are multiple tricks that can be done with the items. The teacher will demonstrate routines each day but students will also be encouraged to think creatively with the items and develop their own routines, learning and sharing with each other what they have discovered. There will be whole group instruction and individual, as well as partner and group, practice and performance sessions. The camp will end with a video sent to the parents highlighting the week. Children are welcome to sign up for both weeks to expand their acts along with their skills. Students should bring a snack each day.
