Below are answers to the most frequently asked questions about King’s Way Christian Schools.

Q. Is King’s Way Christian Schools accredited?

A. The school was established in 1978 and became accredited in 2005 through NAAS (Northwest Association of Accredited Schools).

Q. Are you affiliated with a church?

A. We are affiliated with the Vancouver First Church of God and are located on their campus.

Q. Who governs the school?

A. A nine member school board oversees the school superintendent who works with the principals and preschool director.

Q. Are your teachers certified?

A. Our classroom teachers for Kindergarten through Grade 11 are certified through the State of Washington.

Q. How many classes do you have per grade level and how many students are in a classroom?

  • Kindergarten: 4 classrooms of 16 students per classroom
  • Grades 1 – 5: 3 classrooms of 22 students per classroom
  • Grade 6: 3 classrooms of 24 students per classroom
  • Grades 7 – 8: 24 students per classroom / maximum of 72 students per grade level
  • Grades 9 - 11: 25 students per classroom

We have an estimated enrollment of 625 for the 2007-8 school year.

Q.What are the school hours?

  • AM Kindergarten: 8:30 – 11:15
  • PM Kindergarten: 12:15 – 3:00
  • Grades 1 – 11: 8:30 – 3:00

Q. Do you offer a hot lunch program?

A. We offer a hot lunch every day that includes main item choices and a complete salad bar.

Q. What sports are offered?

A. Sports are offered at 6th grade through high school.

  • Middle School: Volleyball, Golf, Girls Soccer, Cross Country, Basketball, Track, and Lacrosse
  • High School: Volleyball, Cheerleading, Cross Country, Golf, Basketball, Track and Lacrosse

Additional sports that may be added over the next year may include Bowling, Boys Soccer, and Wrestling. We also support some elementary club sports through outside clinics and clubs, including Hotshots Youth Sports.

Q. Do you offer before and after school care?

A. We offer before and/or after school care for students through the age of twelve. See additional information at the Learning Center.
